Jamison Square with Auntie Linds

My husband continues to very politely harrass me to post pictures of our kid...I've been slacking on the blog worse than ever! I am a bit shocked though... these were taken July 5th! We spent an afternoon with Auntie Lindsey getting yummy coffee and taking Edrie to Jamison Square.

This spot is extra special for me because we lived across the street from it when we had just moved back to Portland last year. I was pregnant and didn't have much experience as a nurse so I couldn't find a job (which I really didn't mind too much). Olive and I spent our days walking and relaxing around town. Many an afternoon were spent sitting in this very park last summer with a swollen belly thinking about what it would be like to be one of those harried moms chasing kids. HA! There is no more wondering!

Edrie had the time of her life. She is such a social girl - she was practically running from kid to kid and doing her signaure wave. Its almost a princess wave! Have I mentioned that?? She waves NON STOP these days and its ridiculously adorable.

I love that kid so much.

First Fourth of July

Miss Edrie's first Independence Day wasn't too exciting...mama worked the night before so we slept most of the day away. Had an eventful and much too big for anyone's liking fall off the bed and were all back in bed before fireworks even started! We did spend the afternoon at Nana and Gramps' and joined the neighbors for a BBQ.

Cruising

 

This little lady has been cruising all over town for a few months now. She loves to practice walking! For the longest time she insisted on having two hands to help her along but in the last week or so she has progressed to only one and now won't take the second hand even if you offer it! She also refuses to go in any direction except that which she chooses! I feel like other kids always used to let me direct...not this one!

Great Aunt Kathy's Visit

My Aunt came to visit at the end of June! It was a really nice visit especially because she got to meet Edrie - they totally hit it off! Her and my mom watched E while I slept off work for a few days. The pictures below are us playing after I woke up...

 

  

We were mostly low key while she was here, but we did spend an afternoon shopping on Hawthorne! Edrie loves starbucks!

She LOVED rolling this ball back and forth with my uncle...I bought her a ball that week so now we play at home!

More June Randoms

When my husband asks if I'll ever be uploading new pictures of Edrie to the blog, I know is been a LONG time! I can't believe its been over a month. Life is so crazy lately! 

 

 Look at that baby! She is so happy and proud of herself! 

   

This had to be documented. First time she ever fell asleep in the car! She came down with a cold the next day so I was pretty sure it was a fluke from sickness. She has surprised me and fallen asleep two more times since so maybe we have officially gotten over our car phobia?!!
