Feb 2013: Randoms

in real life i can never see her this clearly when she is awake... she is ALWAYS in motion. Such a sweet squishy girl. 

She LOOVES that man. Seriously, I'm starting to see a serious shift to becoming a true daddy's girl. "papa? papa?" all day long - she freaks when he gets home. Her and olive also love them some popcorn so this was a particularly good day.

Grant sent me this one morning when I was just getting off working night shift. I LOVE it. This is totally her in the morning. Crazy hair is my favorite. 

This is no longer a viable nap option and I am not advocating that anyone else do this, but desperate times call for desperate measures... I would drive her around til she fell asleep then use faectime with my phone and laptop to watch her while I did ANYTHING I wanted in the house. It was blissful and amazing - I could be loud and she'd sleep for a really long time. Then she figured me out and currently goes ballistic if we are in the car longer than 15 minutes. lovely.

Feb 2013: Tomato Soup

 

All of a sudden the soup just started going in her hair - I thought it was hilarious and totally encouraged her (especially bc it was a bath night). She is such a nut! 

 

Feb 2013: Little Artist

 

We got out the watercolors for the first time a few months ago and Edrie LOVED it. She was doing really well with putting a bit of water then picking up the paint, but after a while she just started dumping water everywhere. Her paper was so wet and colorful it just broke apart !

 

 

Feb 2013: Valentine's Day

 

   

 

We celebrated valentine's day in our usual fashion - pizza and a night in. 2012, 2011, 2009, and before. Edrie looked adorable (as usual) in a little valentine outfit and a few days before we tried a pinterest craft of toilet paper roll hearts. It was a shit show... i didn't think to put the dog away so she ran through the paint and tracked it all over the house... rugs, couch, toys... I'm still finding red paint months later. Edrie thought it was more fun to paint herself than the paper and then didn't understand why she had to take a bath before playing with her toys... it was a total art FAIL! i learned some good things for next time though...

Feb 2013: Snowball!

The first weekend of February we went with some new friends for a weekend of fun in the snow. We rented two condos - one for families with kids and one for the unencumbered. It was so fun! We had family style dinners, drinks, and lots of low-key laughter. We also spent Saturday sledding and snowshoeing at Trillium Lake. 

 

 

 

Edrie had a great time with the other two girls - all within a year of eachother! She also did great snowshoeing... we weren't sure what to expect out of our ever-mobile little girl!
