2 months and we'll be hitched!

from last weekend's wedding prep...dress fitting, sign making, inventory everything, mock table settings, mock aisle settings, failed veil making, veil buying, cake topper buying...

Its officially REALLY close to the wedding. 8 weeks! All the big stuff feels like it is out of the way and now it is all the little details that are driving me crazy - logistical things like who will pack everything up at the end of the night and where will it be stored until we can deal with it??? arrggh! oh yea and we have to figure out the ceremony... that isn't a big deal or anything right?? we want it to be very 'us' but still kind of traditional...

what have been the best parts of weddings you guys have been to?? best part of a ceremony? details?reception? we'd LOVE to hear!if anyone has any ideas or has been to any weddings that were really personal send them our way!

I guess this means its also only 8 weeks til our honeymoon!!! Have I told you about this place?? its seriously amazing...EVERYTHING is included...food? check! drinks? check! tip? check! room service? check! dinner cruise? check! dance club with drinks? check! beach cabanas? check! swim up bar? check! WE.CAN.NOT.WAIT!!!!

...in case anyone is interested...this also means only 4 more weeks of summer school for me. thank God!... we might have to get some immunizations before mexico because of this class... it will make you a germaphob!

Practice your first kiss....I'm not kidding. Think of what it will look like in photos cause you don't want to look like a big goober!

Reserve a ton of time for photos because it will be what you have to hold on to. Make a list of photos you want and someone in charge of making sure they get taken and that the correct people are retrieved when they are needed so you aren't running around crazy.

EAT FIRST! Even if you are excited and want to see everyone, make yourselves eat! Also - ask the caterer ahead of time to pack a plate of food for each of you as well as a couple pieces of cake so later you can truly enjoy it!

We saw a cool "water ceremony" where instead of lighting a unity candle the families poured pictures of water into 2 vases and then the bride and groom poured the vases into one.

Nicole - plan ahead what you want to happen the hour or so before the wedding...do you want some alone time just to relax or do you want all your bridesmaids there or all your family there too...I didn't pre-plan this and all I wanted was a moment alone and there was no where to go!

With all of the hard work and planning done ahead of time you need to relax and enjoy the day! It will be the most fun and most memorable day of your life and you want to savor every moment! Have fun - We wish we could be there!!!

Ethan and I went to Cabo on our honeymoon and we LOVED it! You guys will have a blast! You have to take a water taxi to Lover's Beach and spend a couple hours there! So fun!

Alright so I know this isn't the right place but I'm RSVPing in your blog because every time I try and do it on your website I get kicked off the internet....maybe it's my computer. I don't know. But I'm coming so save me a place.

Love the invitations! Jon did a great job!!!!
As for wedding suggestions just have fun and remember to actually eat some of the food you guys are paying for. Also, wear your dress for as long as possible!
Honeymoon suggestion...take lots of pitures.

I don't understand when people say their vows but look at the paster/priest/whoever instead of their love. Make sure you look at each other!

PS. The muscle pump might need to be brought into play to calm presyncope when you realize everyone is watching you up there.
