just received this update in an email from my husband....
From the storm tracker (8:43am)...
"After peaking at new model data and a quick view of the satellite, it appears a good portion of Mid-Missouri will have plenty of sunshine and warming (after a few isolated morning storms) that will help us maximize the potential in terms of severe weather threats this afternoon. The atmosphere is capable of producing a few tornadoes in our viewing area, especially in the areas shaded in red below (thus the higher risk). Some of the stronger storms will also be capable of damaging wind gusts in excess of 80mph and hail to the size of baseballs."
hmmmm..... not so sure that makes me very excited.
