Don't be fooled... I took the completed costume pictures the day after Halloween, because this mama was knitting at stop lights and sewing felt on at the very VERY last minute! I saw this idea on pinterest which linked to this site. I just knit a simple sleep sack and hat and then added the eyes, etc in felt afterward.
I think we ended up with a pretty cute hungry caterpillar!
Edrie's Grandpa carved her a pumpkin while we were away for the weekend!
We went trick or treating with Ethan, Katie and their boys. It was nice to get to be outside with older kids who were SO excited to get candy!
Could they be any cuter??
This picture needs to be included to truly depict how this day went. This kid is hating the carseat and its slowly KILLING me. It took us nearly three hours to get from Happy Valley to Tigard... should have taken more like an hour. She has also decided that no paci or bottle will do... this kid only wants the boob. Makes soothing while strapped into the seat very difficult.
Me amazed that the costume is done and that she isn't crying. It was SUCH a long and stressful day!
Family pic!
Noah SO excited for his super hero rings!
Our smiley girl was back after a good nap and some food. The crying came back on the drive home though..

so cute! I love how you can use it again for everyday too!
She looks so warm and happy in her costume. Something to be pass down through the generations since that story is so iconic. Good job Mom!
Oh Nicole! Amity was also a carseat hater!! It was awful. Very frustrating when everyone suggests, "oh, go for a drive to get her to sleep!" That would just make it worse. I used to DREAD even small trips to the grocery store. The good news...she will grow out of it. It was probably around 5-6 months though : ( Hang in there girl, I so feel for you in this. And the costume is to die for, so adorable and such a good idea for baby!!
LOVE Edrie in her homemade costume, good work mama!
