i LOVE kelly mccaleb's blog - she is candid and crafty and stuff. she posts about food sometimes and i usually always like what she recommends. recently she posted about chia seeds - it totally peaked my interest. the following week a new grocery store opened and i happened to see them in the bulk foods - bought some and have been throwing them in stuff ever since. everyone keeps asking me why they are good - i couldn't remember. ha! grant keeps asking, 'should i put this hippy stuff in my oatmeal?' ummm yea you should kelly said so!
anyway. i looked it up to remember and they are AWESOME! omega 3's, calcium, antioxidants, and TONS of fiber. plus they are super cool because you don't have to grind them to get the benefits (like flax seeds). they don't taste like anything to me and i've been eating them quite a bit (though you have to check your teeth after...). i like the idea of thoughtlessly being able to eat something so good for me. i'm gonna start adding other seeds too. like ALL the ones from this article thing...
